After ten years of dictature, two years of civil war and an earthquake, the Balendo is poorer and weaker than ever. The population is starving. The ONG are trying to find funds to help them but the western world solidarity is not enough to erase years of destruction.
The 8th of october, Beneto&Beneto announced a 2 million euros project to repare end install pipes in Balendo so that 80% of the population access clean water. This project began the 2th of november and will end in may 2011. It will considerably lower the epidemics that are currently affecting the country. The ONG praise this initiative.
